Part of the Classification team responsible for adding subject classifications to all bibliographic records consistent with agreed service level commitments made to publishers and other data suppliers. Provide advice, support and assistance to customers, publishers and general enquirers and internally advise on classification issues. Contribute to special classification projects.

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of Stevenage Central Library, maintaining the property, and supervising and training its staff.

Responsible for the day-to-day running and well-being of Stevenage Old Town Library, with other supervision and administration responsibilities elsewhere.

Primarily based at Stevenage Central Library. Responsible for front-end customer service including the supervision of the automatic library service kiosks (for borrowing/returning items), dealing with initial user enquiries relating to account registration, reserved items and location of items. Maintaining stock and reporting potential damages/repairs. Loading trolleys with returned stock and re-shelving books. Organising and facilitating the transfer of inter-library loan stock using library circulation software.

Worked two hours in the evening, re-shelved books used in the Library and generally kept the collections and library space tidy and well organised. Additionally helped with user enquiries and updated loose-leaf publications.

Spent a year working and training within the Library, based at the enquiry desk. Helped with user queries, distance services, processing new stock and shelving duties. Sole responsibility for collating monthly book binding consignments.

Managed the renewal and maintenance of two IP portfolios within a small in-house legal department, together with responsibility for other formalities required by the wider business.

Managed the trade marks renewal portfolio for a major multinational company, and additionally supported two in-house attorneys in a predominantly formalities based role, with some experience as a trainee trade mark attorney.
