Having received the CBYX (Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange) scholarship my junior year of high school, it led to my passion to immerse myself within the international scene. The experience with CBYX fueled my desire to continue my education on a worldly level. I enrolled in the International Business Institute at Messiah University and later transferred to Liverpool John Moores University School of Business for International Management in the UK. I graduated with honors, completing challenging courses as well as an internship to increase market value and exposure of a local business called Underwing. With Underwing I took on a group leadership role where I experimented with research to create social media campaigns and discover new potential business partners and clients. Our work had generated new business and exposure for the company that ultimately led to their growth. My overseas experience allowed for my successful employment with Backyard Broadcasting in Pennsylvania right out of college. As an Account Executive I managed a medium-sized cash portfolio and two dozen client relationships. However, I managed to return to my AFS roots and began working as a Regional Field Cover Support Specialist. I worked closely with my counterparts, state department regulations and the Sponsored Programs (YES,FLEX,CBYX) staff as well as the volunteers to ensure the timely placement of students throughout the country. This past hosting season with AFS I was a top placement performer managing over 250 volunteers and placing 40% of our goal in the first two months. This included vetting host families and their applications to ensure the safety of our students. Currently I am a having success as a Sales Representative for Wireless Vison managing sales and client accounts. It is my goal to remain within the Client Management and Relationship Development fields to fulfill my desires for professional growth as well as provide your organization with an asset in their future endeavors.
