My most recent position was with Subsea ROV handling company Seadrift Offshore Ltd who designed and manufactured systems predominately for Oceaneering. My Day to day responsibilities involved;- The strip down, assembly and commissioning of Tether Management Systems (TMS) and A frames.- Diagnosing and repairing issues.- I was responsible for the majority of welding work completed which involved welding metals with a variety of thicknesses including stainless and aluminium welding.- Contacting welding suppliers to order relevant equipment.- Repairing and servicing gas rams.- Drilling and tapping exercises to ensure components fitted correctly.- Operating manual machines including milling machines and lathes.- Marking out exercises.- Reading and following engineering drawings.

At Horizon I worked as a Welder/ Fabricator and my main roles and responsibilities included;- Cutting different materials from steel to aluminium.- Welding aluminium and steel.- Installing jobs on various sites including Carillion and Bovis/ Lendlease sites across the UK.- Reading drawings.- Use of hand tools.- Assembling display signs, changing room suites and outdoor seating.

- All aspects of MIG welding.- Making jigs.- Reading from engineering drawings.

In this role I first learned how to MIG weld and how to fabricate. My roles included;- Reading from drawings.- Operating CNC drills, saws, manual drills, guillotines and punches. - Welding from a range of materials with different thicknesses.- Using cutting tools.- Marking out exercises.
