Built geospatial dataset describing US firms that retooled production processes for medical supplies.Developed coding protocols to capture essential information, including firm structure, location, size, industry (NAICS code), and associated industry COVID response networks.Developed potential survey questions for identified firms.

Assembled a team of undergraduate students to submit a research award application for the University of Toronto COVID-19 Student Engagement Award. Our team received $3000 to conduct this study.Collected data to measure potential influences on social distancing behavior.Constructed Beta model using political, economic, and pandemic variables to predict the Maryland Transportation Institute's Social Distancing Index over a three-month period. Reported weekly on state and federal responses to COVID-19 in the United States for the University of Toronto Comparative Government Response Project. Wrote 800-word comparative analysis regarding the United States’ response to COVID-19, published on the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy COVID-19 research page.Edited co-investigators’ analyses for Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy website.Created state-by-state dataset to measure the impact of party control on the stringency and timing of implementation for social distancing policies.Used R to analyze dataset and provide data visualizations.

Founded the Democrats Abroad club at UofT to help Americans on campus attain their absentee ballots through voter registration drives, run phone banking events for important races in the US, and platform the Democratic Party of the future.

Organized the first in-person canvass for Toronto for Bernie at UofT. Contacted hundreds of American voters on campus in preparation for the Global Presidential Primary (GPP). The GPP saw a significant turnout increase in Canada, especially at East of Brunswick, the closest polling location to UofT's campus. This helped Senator Sanders to an overwhelming victory down the street from our canvassing site at the city of Toronto polling location.Coordinated a canvassing trip to Michigan before their state primary on March 10th with Toronto for Bernie, driving 4 other volunteers to go knock doors.By registering voters and increasing turnout for the GPP, connected Americans in Toronto to the resources necessary to vote in the 2020 general election.

Washtenaw Youth Initiative was founded by high schoolers in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Michigan after the shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in February 2018. The organization focuses on amplifying the voice of young people in Washtenaw County and implementing gun control reform. During my time organizing with WYI, I:Registered 98 eligible voters at my high school (Ann Arbor Skyline) in conjunction with the Ann Arbor League of Women voters. Organized and held a 1200-student strong walk out event at Skyline to remember those lost in Parkland. Spoke at multiple events across Washtenaw County with crowds ranging from 200-1200 people. Facilitated registering of 100s more voters at Ann Arbor Huron and Pioneer high schools. Gave students in neighboring counties whose administrations warned them against walking out support and ACLU resources.Helped develop a platform including what we had assessed to be the most effective forms of gun control policy through a dedicated research team.

Through the Communications and Public Policy magnet program at my high school, I was referred to the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA) by the City of Ann Arbor to produce a PSA advertisement for the Ride, AAATA's bus system. I was the director, writer, and editor of the video attached below; it aired in Ann Arbor's City Council this past April 2018.
