Director Allied Irish Capital Management : 2004-2007Over this period I was a director of Allied Irish Capital Management , a global macro hedge fund with up to €2bn under management . I had responsibility for trading up to 50% of AICM’s two programs – Global Macro and Foreign exchange. Our clients were some of the world’s wealthiest individuals and organisations. As a director of the company my role involved significant client interaction, presentations and planning.

My role within Goodbody was Fixed Income (bond) sales. This also involved developing and bringing new research products to the market in this area, establishment of new customer links across a number of international markets and building the Goodbody brand name in bond markets. In 2004, I became the first person from Goodbody to be awarded Irish Fixed Income broker of the year in the Finance Magazine survey.

At NCB my role was fixed income sales and trading. I was solely responsible for trading the firm’s proprietary capital via fixed income markets and also for sales in that area. I generated and maintained substantial new domestic and overseas business for the company. This involved significant levels of innovation in a highly competitive sphere, developing new areas of business for NCB together with maintaining key and significant clients.

At IIU I managed trading for the Global Financial Managed Futures program. I had a key management role in the strategic development of IIU Asset Strategies as a successful business, with a number of the world’s largest investment companies and individuals as clients. I worked with a team of traders across a number of different products, developed new strategies and had a significant marketing role in selling our track record to clients right around the globe.
