I consider myself very fortunate. I have been able to capitalize on hard work, effort and the ability to learn from my mistakes to advance through the roles I have taken over the years. It’s amazing to think that my career started with a CompTia Net+ book. That one book was a key factor in helping me obtain my first IT role as a Computer Operator. I have been able to be a part of an effort to establish a well-rounded security program in addition to implementing some pretty cool technology. Along the way, I have been able to obtain my CISSP and CEH certifications. There’s still some room for improvement. There’s still a lot to learn. Hopefully I can continue to capitalize on the skills I used to get me here and acquire more along the way.
