Responsibilities within this role include; Health and safety representative, Forklift operator, Overhead crane operator, MEWP operator, Machine operator. This change in career highlighted my ability to adapt to a new environment and take on new challenges in order to increase my skillset and form new relationships within the working world. This role also involved working shift patterns that included anti-social hours, working into the early hours of the morning as well as the more typical 6AM starts to a 10 hour shift. In addition to this, the company provided me the opportunity to study in college along side my regular duties in order to train me in Machine Operation, this involved; completing on the job training, completing assignments to set deadlines and delivering presentations on specific subjects

Within this role my responsibilities include; banking, stock control, ordering, training staff, upholding brand standards, motivating the team to focus on KPIs and store standards, completing morning briefs and delegated tasks for the day. Being a senior worker for the company often results in me working alone in the office or in the stock room highlighting my ability to be self-motivated and punctual. throughout this, I make my team's welfare a personal priority of mine thus myself approachable. From this, the team and I had a great rapport, we maintain a fun yet professional environment with the customer at heart. Going above and beyond to create relationships within the company.

Within this role I was responsible for; loading/unloading white goods from the van whilst adhering to health and safety protocols, completing daily vehicle checks, having good area knowledge, complete installations providing superior customer service whilst under strict time constraints. Decision making skills were key to completing all tasks, along with problem solving to help deal with hardships of the job. Following new procedures in line with Covid regulations, the staff and customer safety became an added responsibility and area for training.During my time in this role I also spent time working in the office covering for my assistant managers / back shift workers. Whilst in this role I was responsible for; amending customer orders, processing failed stock, audits, completing excel spreadsheets, routing, debriefs and assisting other stores in all business-related needs.

Responsible for; Goods in, stock take, security matrix, ensuring stock was correctly displayed, working to strict deadlines including Christmas targets while offering the highest level of product knowledge and customer satisfaction KPI’s. During my time within this role, the store manager changed and both had vastly different management styles. This meant my adaptability and leadership skills were not only crucial but greatly developed.

Goods in/customer service role working with a small team and store knowledge providing high product knowledge. This role helped me gain vast experience within retail operations, stock taking, merchandising and inventory all in a high-volume environment. As well as training and motivating new staff.
