I am a 24-year-old, software engineer working in the analytics space of the Building Management Systems (BMS) industry. From my degree in a Bachelor of Engineering in Network and Software Engineering at The University of Canberra, I learnt skills in project management including team leadership, programming, cyber security practices, and database design. During this time I worked at McDonalds and in order to uphold the companies goal for quality food and fast service, I had to manage back of house staff to deal with high quantities of orders and ensure timely delivery. I also provided training to crew in McDonald’s best food practices, to minimise food waste and reduce costs. At CopperTree Analytics Australia, using off the shelf hardware (intel NUCs) we repropose them by installing operating systems and software for on-prem data collection and manage them through remote access software. We also provide monthly reports based on building data analysis detailing ways buildings can make cost savings and identify opportunities to reduce expenditures and emissions. I have also worked directly with clients to provide support and training for our platform. I am a highly detail orientated worker. I like workplaces with motivated individuals with diverse skills, backgrounds and opinions. I find challenging environments provide me with opportunities to expand and excel my skills and mental fortitude. I also bring a friendly attitude to my work and look forward to working with like-minded individuals.
