I worked as a commercial planner on the Lloyds Banking Group contract, managing and planning the workload of 25 engineers across 23 commercial client buildings, and consequently developed excellent organisational skills. It was a fast-paced environment where I needed to deliver at pace in order to mitigate adverse scenarios for the client, provide excellent customer service and enhance the client’s perception of my organisation. Successful communication with multiple stakeholders was essential. As a natural communicator with good interpersonal skills, I built strong relationships with the engineers, my own team, multiple internal specialist departments and sub-contractors. My first role was as a Supply Chain Administrator on the Lloyds Banking Group and NHS accounts. My key responsibility was the quality management of sub-contractors; ensuring vendors had met the necessary credentials to undertake work and provided the required documentation to approve their invoices. Working both independently and within a team, I processed thousands of pounds daily, building on my ability to analyse information and make informed decisions. With a constant stream of invoices awaiting evaluation, it was important to work accurately at speed, avoiding errors that would ultimately translate into unnecessary losses for the business.
