Based, first, at Capital South Wales and most recently Heart Four Counties for Global Radio, I bring brands and products to life through our radio and digital platforms. I have to manage, organise and monitor campaigns from the brief-take to the final resolution. I am responsible for creating copy over numerous platforms, including audio, digital and video. Some of my biggest successes have come from working on conceptual solutions with the sponsorship, promotions and sales support teams to create multi-platform pitches across radio, TV, online and print media.I have a wealth of experience in sales and pitching, and have worked with clients such as Coca-Cola, BA, The Shard and the BBC among others. I have managed and maintained marketing campaigns over both traditional and online media.

Since the beginning of the year I have worked as a Freelance copywriter based in Cardiff and have written for a number of different agencies and businesses in the region. I also write for a number of contacts made during my time in Wrexham. Although, my main business is radio advertising I have written print adverts, direct mail, flyers and magazine articles.

Based at Heart FM in Wrexham I was a radio copywriter. My role was to take a client brief and write Radio adverts to help promote their brand and product. The campaigns varied in length but typical adverts were 30 seconds long. The role requires excellent attention to detail, superb writing skills and the ability to focus on a client’s unique selling point and translate it to a wide audience.

Working from a number of kindergartens in Shinjuku Japan. I had to teach English as a foreign language to a number of different grades. The experience allowed me to grow enormously as a person, as I had to live and acclimatise to a different culture and live in a country where English is rarely spoken.

At Legal and General my role involved the day to day managing of Life assurance accounts and dealing with customer enquiries in regards to their policies. My main duties were the up-keep of records and processing claims and Direct Debit information. My time at Legal and General has given me a confident telephone manner, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with all types of people.
