This role was created to coordinate delivery of the NSW Electricity Strategy, Net Zero Plan: Stage 1 and MoU on Energy and Emissions between the Commonwealth and NSW Governments. In this role I lead the development of the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, and established a new Division charged with implementing the regulatory and governance frameworks which underpin the Act.

I lead a unit responsible for collecting, analysing, and curating data on the reliability, affordability and sustainability of the NSW electricity and gas systems to inform NSW Government policy and programs.

I led a team in the Climate and Resource Efficiency Policy Branch within Policy Division of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage. This is a small industrial design consultancy a university colleague started. We grew the business over the first couple of years but the projects we were getting didn't fit with my aims of working in sustainability. We also designed a series of products (gifts and homewares) of our own, I think many of them are still for sale.
