I have designed the course, from what is taught to how. Creating detailed plans and schedules to enable all members of staff to coordinate their teaching to ensure that all criteria is covered and assessed in a relevant, efficient and effective manner. My role also covers a huge amount of pastoral care, dealing with students with a range of issues, from severe to relatively mundane. This requires sensitivity and often confidentiality, with cases being referred onto more professional authorities in various public sectors. Every year various trips are arranged by me for the students; this means in depth and water tight risk assessments, planning and itineraries need creating. On top of this is the day to day teaching from which I have no remission, therefore still have to design, plan and mark the students assignments as usual. -
