About Liam Smyth

I am an experienced leader and program manager with a diverse range of leadership roles including complex and sensitive investigative projects, audits, governance and compliance. Initially in a law enforcement context, I later successfully transitioned my skills into an administrative and public sector role and have since gained extensive experience of working across government agencies and also managing the interface between large government agencies and the political context in which they operate. I later diversified my skills further and transitioned into my current role where I lead large, complex and high risk government projects and programs. In my current role, I lead the delivery of Australia’s largest swimming and water safety program which has a renowned international reputation. My strongest attributes are an appetite for empowering teams, leading and working in new business environments and initiating and managing meaningful stakeholder networks internally and beyond.
