This position involves the responsibilities of a Youth Development Professional (YDP) while also leading a program area. In this role, I took the lead of the Club's computer labs for our elementary school members. I actively created an environment for members to gain computer literacy through quality programs that I sponsored and created. Additionally, I acted as an assistant to the Club's Directory of Technology & Graphic Design, aiding in various different IT-related tasks like setting up other co-worker's desktop PCs.

In this role, I served as a Youth Development Professional for the after-school and summer programs at the Club. In the summers I worked with teens, fostering an environment for the kids to let loose and have fun, while also creating surroundings that allowed them to learn and progress as individuals. I supervised groups of teens during our weekly field trips ensuring that the group got around in a timely manner and participated in all activities.During the school year, I worked with elementary school students. I was commonly in the gym playing different games with kids while teaching them the importance of sportsmanship, honesty, and integrity. In addition, I also supervised kids in other program areas to ensure that all club members were following Club policy.

In this role, I worked for the Athletic Department at the club as an athletics supervisor. I would recieve a schedule for the day's athletic activities and I would plan and prep each activity to happen in a timely and safe manner. During the events, I supervised to ensure that all players, coaches, referees, and spectators followed the Club's spectating policy. Common duties while supervising included aiding in player injury and problem solving with disputes on the court or field.Day-to-day tasks varied based on the season. During the fall season, I helped prep basketball and volleyball practices, as well as supervising games to ensure all participants followed the Club's spectating code. In the winter season, I would help referee basketball games and I coached a team. In the spring season, I would prep for volleyball, baseball, basketball, and track & field practices. I would also supervise games and umpire softball games.

At Captured Sun, I worked in a team of fellow software engineering interns. We worked on the company's flagship product, Parchment. We'd be assigned tasks from the CEO of the company pertaining to Parchment. In our team, we held weekly meetings to go over all development on our task. This included brainstorming, designing, implementing and debugging solutions to the task. Upon completion, we would demo our solution to the company CEO. Some key tasks included: creation of custom space icons for users, and creating an initial Windows desktop app for Parchment.
