Working in the water network planning team in the South Brisbane office working on several projects across Queensland. Key projects and responsibilities of this role include:- Water hydraulic model calibrations using the InfoWorks WS Pro software - Water network capacity, pressure and fire flow performance using hydraulic modelling software platforms (InfoWorks WS Pro, Infowater)- Demand analysis including leakage using available meter, billing and population model data. Climate correction demand analysis used as part of demand assessment in one particular project. Have also developed future demand projections based on population models and expected future demand rates.- Technical report writing skills covering a range of water network planning topics including model calibration methodology and performance, development assessments, demand and leakage assessments, and network capacity assessments.

Gippsland Water Graduate Engineer program gives young engineers experience across three areas of the organisation. The first rotation of the engineer role was with the Infrastructure Planning team, an extension of the work I was doing as a vacation student in my previous role.

As part of Asset Planning team, I compiled key project management documents such as cost estimates, risk registers, Gantt charts, design briefs, synopsis reports, and options assessments. I was also involved in the Infrastructure Planning and Water Resources team, which involved tasks such as diversion and bulk entitlement reporting, hydraulic modelling, wastewater system planning, and GIS analysis.Overall, obtained a broader understanding of the water and sewer assets that Gippsland Water use to ensure customers are provided with quality water and wastewater services

I was a VCE Maths and Science tutor at Trafalgar High School, with my main subjects of focus being Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics and Physics.

Was a part of the 11-week Summer Research Program offered by Monash University that gave insight into a career as a researcher. Throughout this program, I worked with the BosL team who focus on water monitoring and control (with monitoring of Covid-19 fragments in wastewater a high priority whilst I was there).
