(Contract) - Responsible for a multitude of projects across the Cwm Taf network including Wifi upgrade of all Access Points and WLAN Controllers at all hospitals including community care and GPs, upgrading of mobile crash call alerting systems for Trauma Teams at the hospitals, Centralisation of the switchboards and the core network upgrade at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and the Prince Charles Hospital. Implementation of call-recording and call logging software for the VoIP system to monitor and reduce call cost across the health board. Responsible for the infrastructure upgrade including Hyper V SAN and Nexus for the Digitisation of Patients records and desktop refresh to numerous locations across the Health Board.

(Contract) The Ministry of Justice is undergoing a full WAN, LAN, Voice and Video upgrade of their entire estate across the UK. I have been brought in to manage a geographical region from cradle to grave. My main duties are to monitor and manage all stakeholders internal/external. Mitigate any risk from occurring and update Raid items as and when necessary. Manage the entire process from Circuit order to install and Transition. Cut the upgraded WAN over upon adequate testing and confirmation of functionality. Manage the transition of the LAN upgrade and testing. All PBX VoiP systems are being reconciled and upgraded to a new supplier, this has to be correctly managed and implemented ensuring all parties involved are executing there duties in a timely manner.

(Contract) - Technical Infrastructure Project Manager - Responsible for a multitude of various projects aligned around the refurbishment program of the new headquarters building to include; The building of a new data centre, including the migration of all Wintel, mainframe and oracle services that run the factory. The replacement of a new core network using Cisco Nexus with FEX to all server cabinets. The replacement of all cisco network switches across the factory to include the running of new Single Mode Fibre to all network nodes and data centres. The installation of new industrial machinery in the factory that uses Siemens S2 protocol.

(Contract) - Technical Project Manager - Responsible for a multitude of various projects aligned around improving the service capabilities, infrastructure, Business Continuity, best practice, the standardisation of corporate IT policies and procedures to a budget of six million. Also the integration of new companies to the network and multiple new technologies to be adopted by the company. Managing a team of eight contractors. Completed data centre network refresh using Cisco Nexus with FEX in each rack to a 1700 server data centre. Completed an audit and review including implementation of recommendations on all firewalls in UK, USA and NZ Data Centres. Implemented SCCM, Splunk, Azure and Nessus across the domain to all support/development staff

Managing three teams of engineers (VoIP, PBX, VM, Wintel, CRM, SQL) that look after External and Internal Clients.

(Contract) - Infrastructure Project Manager. Responsible for managing a team of Project Mangers tasked with delivering the migration of 350 SQL databases from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008R2, that supply over 35 million customers, bank accounts, stock portfolios and other bank related products to the general market. Simplified the "gateway to live" process that achieved a quicker move to fruition of deployment of new systems whilst maintaining security and minimised risk to the bank at much reduced cost. Improved road to live though improving clarity of process.

Responsible for all aspects of the corporate IT department, including budgetary control, strategic planning, DR and capacity planning with seven direct reports Totally redeveloped the corporate network to include redundancy, scalability and DR. reduced IT annual Spend by 120k in first year. Created IT policies for general use, Internet access, email, anti virus, DR plan. Developed corporate business strategy for the company to adopt. Implemented call management system and helpdesk. Implemented a company wide Intranet (MS Sharepoint 2007) to incorporate 6 TB of data into document management. Implemented company wide video conferencing to include desktop VC via Live Communications Server. Implemented Sharepoint Moss 2007 solution to include corporate intranet/extranet with document management system. Implemented company wide VoIP solution to reduce corporate spend and replace out dated and no longer serviceable PBX’s at all 9 office’s.

(Contract) - Project Manager for EDS to Xerox (Europe) for the implementation of a thin client application to all Xerox employees in Europe, (approximately seventeen and a half thousand users). - Designed and Implemented the Disaster Recovery policy for all IT components across Europe to include failover to the USA West Coast facility and the data retrieval for the UK Based SAN to the USA. - Project managed the replication of the SAN environment from the US to a data Centre in the UK. - Project managed the takedown and migration of NetWare servers to Active Directory Domain Controllers and exchange 2000 across Europe at all Xerox sites, this included the creation of user login and mailbox accounts.

Project Managed and Implemented Cisco IP telephony to six sites and two call national centers to reduce annual phone bill by £250k. Implement Call management software and IP Voice recording to both call centers to include predictive dialing populated via a SQL 2000 database to increase outbound and prospecting teams productivity. Implemented citrix thin client, to six remote sites and citrix web client to remote users via the Internet and GPRS. Project Managed a close user group for land to mobile calls to reduce the annual mobile phone spend by £85k per annum. Responsible for the Project Management and Implementation of the CARCRAFT IT DR Plan, which involved the migration of 3 key SQL DB's, 8 Citrix servers and 4 clusters to a remote hosting facility, limitations of the project where the SQL DB's where necessary for the selling of cars and the business is open 7 days a week 9am to 10pm. Whilst still supporting the current technical infrastructure on a day-to-day basis, resolving 3rd line issue's within the network and back office suite of business critical servers. Implemented the use of softphone’s using VOIP technology to remove the need for mobile phones on the shop floor, thus reducing corporate spend on mobile phones. Reduced annual IT spends on site connections by £22k and changed connectivity model from central hub model to cloud based model for increased redundancy. Implemented SCCM server to assist, in the day-to-day managing of the network and ensure that the group conformed to licensing. Implement AD Group Policy to assist in the rollout of updates and new applications to workstations across the group. Planned and implemented upgrade from NT4 including four separate domains to Windows 200 Active Directory, to include the upgrade of Exchange 5.5 to 2000, Proxy 2 to ISA Server and SQL 7 to 2000 for eight large database's. Cut yearly running costs by £6k on data connects.
