Whilst still supporting the current technical infrastructure on a day-to-day basis, resolving 3rd line issue's within the network and back office suite of business critical servers. Implemented the use of softphone’s using VOIP technology to remove the need for mobile phones on the shop floor, thus reducing corporate spend on mobile phones. Reduced annual IT spends on site connections by £22k and changed connectivity model from central hub model to cloud based model for increased redundancy. Implemented SCCM server to assist, in the day-to-day managing of the network and ensure that the group conformed to licensing. Implement AD Group Policy to assist in the rollout of updates and new applications to workstations across the group. Planned and implemented upgrade from NT4 including four separate domains to Windows 200 Active Directory, to include the upgrade of Exchange 5.5 to 2000, Proxy 2 to ISA Server and SQL 7 to 2000 for eight large database's. Cut yearly running costs by £6k on data connects.
