About Liam Hare

I am a BIM Designer within the Arup Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) infrastructure team, based in Leeds, UK.In 2016 I started working and completing a Level 3 Design and Draughtsperson apprenticeship in design consultancy within the infrastructure energy and resources sector. While completing my Apprenticeship at Arup, I completed a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering on day release and a Level 4 Electrical & Electronic Engineering HNC. I also partly studied BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering all whilst gaining valuable experience within the engineering industry.I was awarded STEGTA Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance in Design and Draughting in 2018, as well as G4C Constructing Excellence Technical Apprentice of the Year 2019.After my apprenticeship completion I took the decision to move into a BIM Technician role to develop and improve BIM deliverables within my team and sector.I have continuously served clients within highly regulated industries including water, energy, and UK nuclear licenced sites for six years. I am progressing my IEng application with the IET. I am an ambitious hardworking, highly adaptable individual, experienced in working in a fast-paced environment.I have advanced knowledge of Autodesk’s suite of design products such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks and many more.
