My role as a resourcer is a first introduction to registering Candidates. The role involves identifying new leads, through taking references, talking to contacts in the industry, including candidates and undertaking general research functions for the sales teams. As a resourcer I will then progress these leads to enquiry stages from a client prior to sourcing candidates for specific roles, screening them effectively and presenting candidates back to the Client. Main Responsibilities 1.Ensuring that full referencing of all candidates is carried out and confirming their eligibility to work. 2.Conducting searches on the company database to find candidates with the requisite skills to fill specific roles. 3.Placing advertisements to attract candidates with the requisite skills to fill specific roles. 4.Interviewing potential candidates to check their suitability for specific roles, this may be telephone interviews and sometimes face-to-face interviews. 5.Checking candidate’s credentials through reference checking and validity of qualifications. 6.Presenting candidates to Clients and Clients to candidates. 7.Canvassing candidates in order to pick up industry information on such areas as market pay rates, contract types, Clients that may be recruiting, Clients that are making redundancies and keeping colleagues informed of any potential leads for new business. 8.Adhering to company policy and procedures, maintaining the necessary records and creating the necessary paperwork, in order for placements to be made smoothly, effectively and professionally.
