Biomedical Engineer with a research focus on the intersection of RNA biology and mechanobiology. I am interested in identifying RNA-based mechanotransduction mechanisms that govern cellular behavior for applications in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and disease. Current work at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center centers on miRNA and RNA localization mechanisms that control fibroblast and vascular mechanotransduction. PhD work focused on the mechanobiology of pluripotent stem cells through modulation of cytoskeletal elements, as well as the application of external mechanical forces. Previous work includes corneal tissue engineering and development of a continuous glucose monitoring device.
