Regulatory Policy Manager: Manufacturing & Environment
CurrentLeading organisation’s engagement in policy topics related to shortages, sustainable manufacturing and regulatory compliance under the newest environmental and manufacturing regulations. My job is to ensure that European pharmaceutical policies are grounded in the realities of the pharmaceutical value chain for generic, biosimilar and value-added medicines to deliver more access to medicines in the EU.
Board Member
CurrentThe AMR Industry Alliance is one of the largest private sector coalitions set up to provide sustainable solutions to curb antimicrobial resistance, with over 100 biotech, diagnostics, generics and research-based pharmaceutical companies and associations joining forces.I support the organisation's efforts to positively impact global antibiotic supply through antibiotic emission reduction and recognition of the value of responsibly made antibiotics. In particular, I support the rollout and adoption of AMRIA Antibiotic Manufacturing Standard & Certification programme by BSI. Launched in 2023, the BSI manufacturing certification is leading to action among manufacturers, as more than 100 drugs are certified or in the certification pipeline in countries across Europe, India, and China. The certification is independent, and it is proven to provide effective control of antibiotic emissions. It does not rely on governments to implement it, meaning that it can scale in both countries friendly to the WHO’s regulatory guidance and those hesitant to it.
