Responsible for the company’s global communications strategy. I work cross-functionally with teams globally to determine the company’s position and messaging around current cybersecurity, remote access, and data privacy issues, building brand awareness and credibility through data-driven story-telling, threat research, and thought-leadership.Responsible for proactive and reactive security incident response workflows. I lead the responsible disclosure process when our researchers discover a new security vulnerability or threat that needs to be made public. I lead the crisis comms tiger team to create and disseminate customer-facing communications materials to support our field and partners in response to security incidents.Responsible for the company’s thought leadership content strategy. I research and write content including threat research, opinion pieces, data-driven reports, partner report contributions (i.e. Verizon MSI, and DBIR), blog posts, and case studies, which has led to a 650% increase in blog traffic since 2017.I develop and maintain relationships with reporters and analysts covering enterprise IT and security, leading to a 450% increase in press coverage since 2017. Our spokespeople have been featured on Forbes, Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, BBC, Sky News, and CNBC. Routine duties include rapid response commentary, managing PR agencies and freelancers across regions, internal communications, and utilizing social media channels.Series A to successful exit: When I first joined Wandera (a rapidly growing SaaS startup based in London), in lieu of a VP of Marketing, I took on the majority of marketing responsibilities while reporting to the CEO. In 2017, I was promoted and transferred from London to San Francisco to lead communications from our fastest-growing market. In 2021 Wandera was acquired by Jamf and I’m now working with Jamf’s comms team as we transition.
