About Libby Lyons

I was appointed as Agency Head (CEO) of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for a period of five years from October 2015. Prior to joining the Agency, I held senior management roles across the government and corporate sectors in the energy, resources and telecommunications industries. After completing my schooling at Sacré Coeur in Melbourne, I trained to be a primary school teacher and started my working life in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne. Having had considerable experience in working in both female and male dominated industries I know first hand that a diverse work group that mirrors the community in which we live makes for better decision making and organisational performance.
