After 9 months as an assistant, I progressed to an Events Coordinator role in the Third Party Events Team. In this position I manage a portfolio of events, including Brighton Half Marathon, Skydives, Royal Parks Half Marathon, to deliver stewardship and support to our participants. This role involves working with external event organisers to liaise contracts, make event day plans and to steward our participants. I undertake data processes, build emails and have experience of updating my portfolio budgets.

I spent 9 months working as an Events Fundraising Assistant within the Events team for Alzheimer’s Society. I processed and formatted large amounts of data in the processes I undertook each week. Demonstrating an eye for detail and an understanding of data trends, I would ensure all the data was being pulled through in a manner we expect and flag any issues I noticed. Furthermore I assisted various Event Leads in the handling of their Third Party Events in which I was expected to keep on top of many different deadlines, sending out different communications and logging them daily, frequently checking the status of these event registrations and generally responding to participants and their queries. The job allowed me to utilise my organisational and communicative skills that I believe to be strong.

I worked 3 summer seasons for the charity starting in July 2021 and finishing in September 2023. The role included various jobs and responsibilities. These ranged from selling merchandise in the shops to wrist banding visitors at the playground. My main responsibility was in the Palace’s Ticket Office where I would be selling tickets, processing customer’s personal information to set up memberships and generally directing customers to ensure they have a special day.

I spent my final few months of my studies working for the Australian stationary company Smiggle. I started in March 2023 and finished my employment in June 2023, when I left University. My main roles here included serving customers on the tills but also having an eye for detail as I assisted in the visual merchandising side of the store. I learnt to take initiative, making decisions on product placement.

As a temporary Christmas sales assistant at Lush, I was involved in the frantic, fast-paced Christmas rush! My role involved being on tills, working in the stock room and also being an advisor for customers.Customers would describe what they wanted from a product and I would select appropriate items and then provide demonstrations for them. I also cleaned the shop after hours, hosted birthday parties and got a lot of experience building relationships and rapports with customers.
