The 10 Youth Activists receive intensive training and practical experience in gender equality literacy, advocacy and government relations, TV and radio media and public speaking, communications and content collection which are utilised to campaign for social change. • Co-designed a report on the impact of COVID-19 girls and young women. Designed the online platform, conducted focus groups, analysed the data, and authored the report with response from young people in over 90 countries. This report was then presented at the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, improving awareness and urging international stakeholders to listen to the voices of young women. • Digital public campaigning through responding to media briefs, undertaking research, and producing opinion articles for the Guardian, SBS, and Women’s Agenda, on menstrual taboos, climate change, and youth leadership. ‘Access to menstrual health and hygiene is a right. Period.’ for the Guardian received 560 shares and 213 comments, resulting in a spike in support for Plan International’s campaign for ending period poverty. • Experience lobbying to both senators and MP’s in the Parliament of Australia for the campaign launch of the ‘Stronger Together’ report, and ‘Unseen, Unsafe’ a collaborative human rights report with Save the Children, World Vision, Child Fund, and Plan. This resulted in the support for both programs across the political spectrum and investment into international aid. • Developed a media strategy with partner organisation Shona Joy for International Women’s Day 2021 to promote their $5 donation to PlA with any nominated purchase. This campaign involved video content for their Instagram, main feed posts from my personal account, alongside an online blog interview for their website. This digital content was presented to a combined Instagram audience of over 429k.

Announced by the Australian Government in December 2021, the council provides advice to government about issues that young people experience online and explore ways of supporting them to have positive online experiences.

• Led a successful campaign to save the gender studies and social justice majors in 2020 through email writing efforts and a on campus protest. This resulted in an exemption from the cuts for both those majors saving jobs and ensuring the courses were able to be continued. • Coordination of the executive team of volunteers, developing the strategic direction and connecting to partner organisations such as Respect Now Always, Walanga Muru, The Gender Studies Department at MQU, and other women’s collectives from across Sydney.

I facilitate sessions and workshops for the public and corporate groups for L'Oréal Paris and their Stand Up Against Street Harassment Campaign using Right to Be's '5D' methodology.

• As the Campaigns and Advocacy expert in store I was in charge of communicating event launches to both the other staff members and customers. This involved promoting building our activist brand story and community through our partnerships, Community Fair Trade, and associated products. • I strived to go above and beyond with my customer service, keeping in mind the needs of the customer, as well as the business, through selling with purpose strategies. Using these methods was able to connect to the customer and ensure their loyalty through signs ups to the Love Your Body Club.

• Conducted a desk review on the impact of bystander intervention on online harassment and bullying. • Analysed qualitative data from focus groups and digital reviews, outlining recommendations for policy and social change. • This qualitative data was synthesised and then presented toyoung people and development professionals from Australia, Vietnam and Indonesia to aid in a youth led project. • Authored the report ‘The Future Online’, using the findings from the youth led research.

I was responsible for designing, implementing, and analysing research to improve the experience of transgender and gender diverse students at Macquarie University.• Synthesis of the existing academic research on this topic into a literature review, highlighting the integral nature of our research due to a large gap in the field. This data was translated into an accessible format and communicated to a diverse team of stakeholders which resulted in the approval for this project as the first Australian university to study the experiences of their transgender and gender diverse students. • Designed a user friendly, anonymous, qualitative survey using Qualtrics which will allow students to provide feedback on their experience. This data will then be coded and analysed, forming the basis of the recommendations for improving the lives of transgender and gender diverse students at Macquarie.

Cambodia

Design, conduct, and analyse research to inform funding proposals for a Cambodian NGO, to prevent violence against children, and improve WASH facilities. • Experience working in multidisciplinary cross-cultural contexts holding stakeholder meetings in the field, and interviewing key community members to understand local needs. • This embedded local knowledge formed the basis of a co-designed survey mixed methods survey. Data collection was then conducted in rural primary schools with students and teachers to understand violence against children in the home and school environments. This resulted in the development of a multi-year project proposal submitted to international donor BMZ.
