A large part of my job role consisted of my ability to work within a team, which I have been recognized by colleagues and subordinates as doing well. I was given, as well as been willing to take on several responsibilities, including managing the team at times, money management within the shop, as well as being in charge of departments and the visual merchandising aspect of these, allowing me to learn what is suited to the general public and therefore what benefits the business. Not only this, but working with the general public has allowed me to build my customer service and communication skills, both over the phone and face to face. I was unfortunately made redundant due to the closure of the store I was working in. I assisted with the store closure which included helping with tasks such as helping organise the transfer of stock, working with my team to organise the order in which to load the merchandise onto the lorries and dismantling the store in order for the new tenants to move in. My role changed to more hands on, labour work when supporting my managers with the store closure.

I have previously helped out at LJS Systems Ltd when requested to offer a helping hand to the business, managing diaries, responding to clients emails and recieving, validating and distributing information to engineers within the company. Again, I worked within a team while shadowing the companies director and head Administrator. This job allowed me to develop my formal literacy and numeracy skills as well as email and phone etiquette skills and putting everything I learnt within my Business Studies to practical use.
