After graduating in June of 2022, I spent the summer as an intern reporter at the Wenatchee World Newspaper. I worked with experienced staff to learn about writing for different beats, like education, PUD, police, and health/safety. After completing the internship, I was asked to continue as a freelance reporter.

After being a student reporter for two quarters at my school's paper, The Observer, I was promoted to section editor. I was in charge of the Scene section for two quarters and was the co-editor of the news section in my final quarter. This involved leading a team of around 3 students, assigning their weekly stories, aiding in writing those stories.

I worked with a team of around seven other students to come up with, plan, and execute safe, fun events for the student body.
