Friends of Niños de Guatemala is a 501(c)3 organization that seeks to raise awareness and advocate in the United States about the role of education in diminishing social inequality and promote development. As a founder and director, I have been in charge of incorporating the organization, processing its 501(c)3 status, develop its mission and vision and start the operations in the United States.

In charge of managing the operational department of the NGO. In charge of Communications, Events and Fundraising. Other duties included institutional relations, sponsorships and donors, volunteers and service teams, public relations, budget development and control, financial reports, human resources, office management, capacity building, and long-term strategy plans. In charge of writing grants proposals and follow-up reports for donors. In charge of finding new sources of income, including potential new grants.

In charge of developing and conducting monthly workshops for single mothers at-risk to raise awareness about several social issues, mainly related to human trafficking, immigration, domestic violence, physical and sexual abuse.

In charge of planning and developing communication campaigns, media plans and press releases for several international accounts. Events planning. Corporate image strategies. Website content and development. Public relations representative in trade shows and events.

Main duties included defining, creating and supervising after-school projects to be implemented in several institutions of the Barcelona intercity area. Human resources, management of all local teams in charge of the direct application of the projects, budgeting and financial planning for each activity and school.
