After escaping Vietnam at the age of 11 in 1982 and arriving in the United States, Lien worked tirelessly to overcome her lack of formal education. She graduated high school and went on to attend the San Francisco State University. She eventually achieved the American dream but faced numerous challenges along the way, including a failed marriage and becoming a single mother in 2006, followed by a financial setback in 2008. These struggles left her feeling emotionally, mentally, and physically drained. Overwhelmed by the pressures of life, finances, and parenting, her relationship with her children began to suffer. Without a clear direction, she began reflecting on her life. What she didn’t realize at the time was that this period of reflection would lead her to a journey of emotional healing and self-discovery, which would ultimately become her passion. Through this transformation, she was able to rebuild and deepen her relationship with her children.
