I design and hand print sustainable, colourful stationery on my mid-century, ink-speckled, half-ton printing press, and run regular letterpress workshops teaching people to print from my bright garden studio.My workshops are informal and friendly, tea-fuelled and a great excuse to carve out some creative time for yourself. Workshopees leave with ink on their apron, biscuits in their belly, and a lovely bundle of personalised stationery. As well as running workshops and making my own stationery, I also now run a regular meet up for local letterpress printers to chat, troubleshoot problems and swap printing ephemera (saving us all a few pennies!).I'm really proud that a number of my students have gone on to set up their own print businesses, and some have work stocked in shops all over the globe. I'm even more proud to call a lot of them friends, and love to continue to support them and be an inky cheerleader for their creative endeavours!

My time at Dachis Group was a fantastic learning experience. I started as Resource Manager and ended up as Resource Manager, HR Manager and In-house Recruiter.I oversaw Employee Experience to ensure people were working towards their aspirations, receiving the training they needed, and were getting everything they could out of working with Dachis Group. I managed the on-boarding of new hires, gave ad-hoc one-to-ones for anyone who needed to talk, helped facilitate performance and probationary reviews, oversaw the company share options process and other benefits, and handled resignations if one of the team, sadly, decided to leave.I got involved in project planning, scheduling and forecasting to identify any person-shaped gaps and kept an eye on the team's utilisation as a whole. I managed day to day ad-hoc requests as well as long term plans to build the right teams around projects for the European offices. I also liaised on a global level with PMs and Resource Managers to ensure we meet demand with our own team before seeking contractors.I led recruitment from CV review, to interview, to negotiation, to on-boarding. I wrote and rewrote job descriptions, ensuring we were advertising our roles in relevant places, and built up a space on our internal wiki for a central view on how recruiting was going and tracking candidates.

I started with The Mill Digital at a time of huge growth. I joined a small gang of 10, and helped grow it to a rabble of 30 within 3 months. As well as going on a hiring spree, my role also consisted of co-ordinating and assigning appropriate creative and technical resources (or "people" as they sometimes like to be called) for each Digital project, and helping to resolve any changes or issues along the way.In the two years it was going, The Mill Digital won 32 international awards including two Grand Prix and was nominated for Agency of the Year. I am honoured to have been a part of their team.

That's why we have to eat so much cake.Tracking new projects as they entered the 200 strong London office, ensuring the right person was allocated to the right project and identifying conflicts within and across accounts before they arose, and resolving them as rapidly and efficiently as possible, considering all of the options available.Liaising with team leads and heads of departments, providing recommendations for departmental planning and hiring requirements. Identifying where and when freelancers, fixed term contract or permanent hires were needed, and which of these options was in the best interest of the teams and the business.I also worked to build teams with three global outsourcing partners and, alongside my team, maintain relationships between the European offices.And ALL within an excel spreadsheet.
