Designer/Technical Director/Producer for corporate theater events large and small. Serving as the lead lighting and rigging designer for million dollar events allow me to utilize my extensive Vectorworks knowledge and my ETCP certifications when laying out production systems. I bring a theatrical flair to my shows based on thirty years of NY and national theater work. My Producing and Stage Management experience, along with my work with C-Suite level clientele allow me to excel as the point person for top level events.I have been actively involved with the USITT and served as chair of the NY section in the late 2000's. I enjoy giving back to the community via teaching theater design and technology at multiple levels from middle school through University and beyond. I've consulted with departments of education about their theater curriculum and how it can be bolstered via collaborating with CTE initiatives.A great conversation starter, are my years serving as a licensed Captain on several yachts including John F. Kennedy's former yacht, the Honey Fitz. That was a blast! My workshops and presentation sessions have been given at convention centers and venues around the country: USITT, LDI, Stage Lighting Super Saturday. I have worked in theaters around the USA and London while serving as a union stage manager and/or lighting designer for various productions; including my favorite, the historic Radio City Music Hall.Broadcast television is another part of my repertoire. Working as an ENG and/or "Lighting" cameraman, my work has appeared on all the New York City News programs. As well as nationally on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, TNN, CNBC, overseas television and GOOD MORNING AMERICA, 48 HOURS and REGIS PHILBIN.I keep abreast of the latest lighting equipment, lighting systems and current consoles via close relationships with leading manufacturers. I also maintain several certifications & memberships including ETCP, CM, USITT, AEA, USA829, IATSE, IES...Let's grab a cup of coffee and discuss your next project.
