• Role Overview: Full stack engineer for a platform enhancing corporate employee engagement and social impact. Leading projects from design to execution, working closely with product managers and UX designers across global teams.• Key contributor in re-writing the entire platform from a Ruby on Rails monolithic application to a distributed system with a Node.js backend and a Svelte UI. This transformation was undertaken to allow for scaling both in terms of users and the ability to meet new business requirements.• Re-modelled the main entity in the system, originally designed for different purposes, which had become cumbersome with successive patches. Collaborated with the product team to create a new, optimized model, enhancing system performance and simplifying processes. Migrated and synchronized the data from a legacy PostgreSQL database to a new model in MongoDB. Implemented a real-time update process to keep the new system synchronized with the legacy system.• Integrated Mixpanel analytics, mentoring R&D and product managers on best practices.
