I’m an educator and advocate at heart with experience in ESL & Bilingual/Dual Language program administration, recruitment and hiring of highly-qualified teachers and campus leadership staff, development and delivery of professional learning, identification and implementation of high quality instructional materials and programs, curriculum and assessment design, instructional coaching, and teaching multilingual learners in ESL, Bilingual, and World Language programs in both the EC-12 and Higher Education settings. My formal training in Sheltered Instruction and the Science of Reading has strengthened the work I do in service of multilingual learners, as well as my personal experience growing up as a simultaneous bilingual. I’m multilingual and multiliterate with professional fluency in English, Farsi, and Spanish.I believe in balance and continued education, so I spend my time recharging and learning through some of my passions. I volunteer as a TexTESOL IV Board Member to stay connected with educators across the state. I humbly coordinate charity events to serve the needs of our most vulnerable communities across the greater Houston area. I also fuel my passions of photography and soccer by serving as a sports photographer with Area Sports Network.
