About Lilly Heidari
I'm an Atlanta-based grant writer and manager, actor, and creative writer. My passions include making art and education accessible, creating meaningful work, and building community through activism. I'd love to connect with you over these shared interests and goals.I have over 7 years of grant writing experience. From 2022 to 2024, I worked for the High Museum of Art, the leading art museum in the Southeast. At the High, I managed grant writing and reporting, grant research, donor communications, and event planning. The grants I managed, both government and foundation funded, primarily support arts education and public accessibility. Working at the High provided me with excellent training and wide-ranging experience to support my advancement as a Development professional.Since April 2024, I have worked at the Historic Oakland Foundation of the Oakland Cemetery as their Grants and Development Manager. I write government, foundation, and corporate grants to help fund the foundation's historic preservation, education, accessibility, and family programming and help manage Oakland's membership base and donor communications.I conduct freelance grant writing outside of my work at Oakland, and I have received every grant managed so far, including grants to establish a historical marker for renowned folk artist Nellie Mae Rowe and to support non-profit theatre company Destination Theatre. I am especially passionate about working with community organizations. I am happy to discuss your grant-related needs, and I love helping organizations and individuals get the funding they need to achieve their goals.Outside of my grant writing responsibilities, I am a film and theatre actor and creative writer.
