Managed comprehensive prescription services and patient management for high volume, high pressure retail pharmacy with daily average of 300-600 prescriptions supplying pain management, travel medication, pet medications and maintenance therapies. Monitored drug therapy for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, allergies, incompatibilities, dosing errors, and adverse effects.I led the build out, launch and ongoing development of new pharmacy. Established an innovative staffing model to maximize the efficiency of the rapidly expanding business, while keeping operating expenses down to support the company mission of providing low cost value to the membership. Western Region

Led the clinical and operational management of the West Area’s second largest branch. P&L management, business development, personnel development, QA/QI and regulatory compliance were key areas of responsibility. Headed the merger of formerly Lifesource Inc., full service home infusion pharmacy, and Coram Healthcare. Promoted multiple times from pharmacist to regional director to build and implement a novel Medical and Scientific Services department, a first of its kind approach, for home infusion services company. Managed 20+ direct and 500 indirect reports with oversight for a $15M budget.• Consolidated and integrated 7 branches into 1 efficient, cost saving center, without compromising quality of patient care for up to 450 patients.• Acheived reductions in cost of materials from 60% to 37% of net sales by enforcing appropriate purchasing systems, tighter inventory control, and accurate dispensing of supplies.• Designed, supervised and assured successful and timely completion of new pharmacy build out, enabling production to increase greater than 400%.• Provided a consultative resource within the 19 West Area branches focusing on overall operational efficiencies, policy compliance and improvements. • Conducted internal compliance audits in accord with state, federal and JCAHO regulations. • Provided successful training sessions for new management and clinical staff.
