I started out my career by working in the tax department in public accounting. I worked on preparation and review of all types of tax returns, including individuals, non-profits, corporations, partnerships, estates, gift, consolidated, and multi-state income tax returns. Over the years, I slid away from income tax and moved over to providing client accounting services primarily. I serve my clients with anything from assistance and training with using Quickbooks software, new payroll setup, running payroll and preparing payroll returns, 1099s preparation, resolving issues with other taxing authorities, helping with bank reconciliations, accruals and prepaids calculations, depreciation calculations, budgeting, outsourced CFO services, and recently with FFCRA and ERTC Covid credits calculations. I still work within the tax department in public accounting but now mainly on sales/use, property and payroll tax returns. I also work heavily on reviewing and managing of compilations and preparation of financial statements for all types of entities: monthly, quarterly, annual, GAAP, cash basis, income tax basis, and other non-GAAP. My years of income tax experience adds a unique perspective to the financial statements and client accounting services I work on, in that I provide an eye for tax planning as well.
