Lilly works to mentor, train, and manage entry-level engineers to help them discover what software team best fits their interest and passions. Every year, Lilly gets to hire 5-10 software engineers, lead them through a 6 month technical training program, mentor the team on technical projects, and ensure they are prepared for their role. She is in charge of designing and managing the training program for entry-level engineers. This part of the role includes creating technical courses, working with third parties to coordinate trainings, and collect feedback from the team to improve the program in the future.

Lilly has created multiple of her own native apps and is also an independent contractor that works with startups and software development firms on native app projects. She specializes in native Android and iOS Bluetooth, IoT, and Machine Learning apps.

Lilly was an Electrical Engineer at Honeywell FM&T where she focused on FPGA design, FPGA development, hardware design, Windows application development, and maintaining complex IoT systems.

Lilly was the president of the IEEE club at the University of Central Oklahoma during her senior year of engineering school. She organized a staff of officers, coordinated club meetings, presented budgets to IEEE local chapter officers, and raised funding for the club.

Lilly did her senior design project with the Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma working along side full-time engineers and engineering management to create a high speed RS-232/RS-422 to TCP/IP converter. She and her team successfully created a prototype that was one fourth the cost of the technologies available at the time.

Lilly was in charge of creating printed circuit boards (PCB) using a PCB machine for other engineering students at the University of Central Oklahoma and maintaining the PCB machine. She used NI Multisim, Ultiboard, and BoardMaster to simulate circuits and configure design parameters. She also learned to calibrate, adjust, and modify the PCB machine to ensure a functioning circuit board is produced. Lilly maintained the PCB machine by performing calibration and alignment checks, making modifications, troubleshooting mechanical problems, and replacing machine parts.

Lilly worked as STEM mentor and engineering tutor to promote undergraduate research, mentor students interested in getting involved, and help engineering students with homework problems.

Lilly worked in an interdisciplinary laboratory setting with a faculty mentor to perform research, record results, and develop new technologies. She helped design a data acquisition system used for acquiring data from mechanical sensors using an Arduino microprocessor. Her area of focus was developing software to convert incoming analog signals from mechanical sensors into usable data with the use analog-to-digital converters (ADC). She also designed a printed circuit board (PCB), verified its efficacy using simulations, and milled the circuit board using a PCB machine.
