Lily Rivera-Graves grew up in the unincorporated community of Richgrove, daughter of farmworker parents, and the youngest in her family. First in her family to attend college, Lily has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology (2000) and a Master of Science degree in Criminology with an emphasis in Juvenile Justice (2003), both from California State University, Fresno. With a deep passion for working with youth and giving back to the community, Lily has continued working in an agency committed to those tasks. Lily first joined CSET as a youth participant in 1991 and in 1996, she took on the opportunity to work for CSET under the Got A Job Program and worked 5 summers (1996-2000) as a staff persons and ultimately running the Program for the Porterville area during the summer of 2000. In this program, she assisted youth in gaining job skills, such as preparing resumes and interviewing. Lily joined CSET fulltime in June 2001, under the GVRP program as a Neighborhood Coordinator, working with youth in the community of Woodville. Here she remained a coordinator for 7 years and later applied for a leadership opportunity within the agency, as the Assistant Director for Energy and Housing in 2007. Lily has over 13 years experience in community service programs, and currently is an Assistant Director/Analyst within the Energy and Housing Department at CSET. She has assisted in managing 10 housing and energy programs designed to provide financial assistance and emergency services. Her experience includes managing and ensuring the efficiency of federal, state and local government contracts.
