I am currently employed as a Project Manager at GTR a role which I thoroughly enjoy. My role primarily involves making the best use of third party funds to deliver station infrastructure improvements for our customers. Recent projects I have led include under GTR’s Passenger Benefit Fund installing £1.1 million of Customer Information Screens, Cycle Rail Funding £300K and £400K Electrical Vehicle Charging Points. I also re-orientated the station and closed the entrance at Elephant & Castle preparing ahead for the demolition of the neighbouring Shopping Centre.At GTR, I am part of the Mentoring and Coaching Community. I find this extremely rewarding especially when I mentor others and see how much they grow between my first and my last session with them. I am also passionate about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. In my spare time I read books/articles about this and enjoy learning from others about how companies should approach this. I try to bring this influence into the workplace by being approachable and using my mentoring skills to help those around me climb their own career ladder. Lastly, I have recently qualified as a Chartered Manager by completing an 18 month Professional Qualification (Level 5) Operations/Department Manager which included an APM accreditation for Fundamentals of Project Management. This has built upon and significantly enhanced my Project Management, Information Based Decision Making, Budgetary and Leadership Skills.
