President Of The Wesley College Science Club
The objective of the Wesley College Science Club is to complete science outreach events with the community at local events. Lab Assistant
Based on my academic performance record and work ethic, I was chosen to serve as a lab assistant under the supervision of Lab Supervisor Kristopher Roeske and Professor Malcolm D'Souza through the Delaware Experimental Project to Stimulate Competitive Research program. I worked a minimum of 128 hours during the fall semester. As a lab assistant, I helped to set up, maintain, and disassemble student labs in the Science Department. A variety of duties were required and completed efficiently such as mixing chemicals, puling and filing prepared slides, organizing and washing glassware, preparing media, preparing specimens for dissection, and caring for live specimens. Also, we were taught how to run the autoclave, the pipet washer, and the water distiller. During the spring semester, I worked a minimum of 134 hours.
