I've been passionate about sciences and animals since I can’t remember. My memories go back to when I used to save little insects from being stepped on, and always took dogs out of the streets in Brazil to give them a better life. When I grew up a little older though, I started expanding my mind and became completely involved with many of the social and environmental injustices that we face today, both with human and non-human beings, and since then decided to become vegan. Today I consider myself an activist for the cause, along with climate change mitigation, social justice, women empowerment and indigenous rights. I am known for being a very smily kind of person. Always laughing and keeping up my good mood, trying to leave my footprint in this big, constantly changing world, even when it seems easier to lose hope. I truly believe in creating healthy communities that can support thriving natural habitats, and circular economy being placed as the main economic model to produce, consume and create. My passion for the ocean and marine life has guided me to my Bachelor’s Degree in Oceanography, which has allowed me the opportunity to learn about all the creatures I've always loved, and understand the field from another perspective. Then, as life changes all the time and we need the ability to adapt, I've had some other amazing work experiences that helped me shape who I am today, and the goals that I want to achieve: building my career in the environmental non-profit sector, having the opportunity to create strategies that support justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI), as well as sustainable communities through positive social change.
