Elected by peers to build upon and continue DEI efforts with the goal to educate, challenge, and enrich Orr Fellowship to be a community of inclusive excellence.- Elected as the third DEI director in Orr Fellowship’s 20+ year history- Managed a team of 5 coordinators (Recruitment, Programming and Events, Fellow Advocacy, and DEI Liasons) and supported them in managing their teams. - Worked with an outside vendor to design a customized implicit bias training for Fellows to conduct an inclusive and equitable recruitment season - Presented a condensed version of implicit bias training to the BOD of Orr Fellowship to prepare them for recruitment - Created a safe space for Fellows and advocated to peers and leadership regarding programming and recruitment strategy- Supported the first year of recruiting from HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) - Hosted regular monthly meetings, as well as oversaw the execution of programming and events to educate and celebrate diversity within the fellowship and greater Indianapolis community
