Cyber Security Intern
CurrentAs an intern on Okta’s Customer Identity Cloud Security team, I will work closely with the Detection and Response, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Customer Trust, and Security Awareness teams to support Okta’s Customer Identity Cloud cybersecurity efforts. I will be involved in hands-on tasks related to incident response, risk assessment, compliance monitoring, customer trust, and security awareness initiatives, as well as data entry and communication tasks to support the team and business needs. Responsibilities: As an intern, I will have four 3 month rotations across the Security teams. Security Awareness Team (3 month rotation): Assist in developing and delivering cybersecurity training and awareness content for employees Support phishing simulation exercises to help employees recognize and respond to phishing attacks Perform data entry tasks related to tracking employee engagement and reporting Support communication efforts related to security awareness and training initiatives Detection and Response Team (3 month rotation): Support incident response efforts with team stakeholders Assist in the review and testing of incident response playbooks Perform data entry tasks related to incident response activities GRC Team (3 month rotation): Assist in performing tasks to support risk assessment activities Support compliance monitoring, data entry and reporting activities. Assist in the review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Perform data entry tasks related to risk assessments and compliance monitoring Customer Trust Team (3 month rotation): Assist with monitoring and responding to customer inquiries Perform data entry tasks related to customer inquiries and trust initiatives Support communication efforts related to customer trust initiatives.
