Lina Garcés received, in 2018, her Ph.D. in Computer Sciences at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, and at the University of Southern Brittany (UBS), France. She finished her undergraduate studies in 2009, and her master studies in 2012 at the Industrial University of Santander, Colombia. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação at Universidade de São Paulo (ICMC/USP). In her research, she intends to develop methods, techniques, technologies, and software frameworks that allow the creation of high-quality software solutions for the e-Health domain. She pretends to contribute in topics of software engineering for Machine Learning systems applied to healthcare. Additionally, her research aims to contribute to real social problems, since results will be applied in real scenarios at Brazil and other developing countries.
