I am passionate about environmental issues. In 1986, I left behind a legal career to manage the finances of the West Coast office of Greenpeace and have worked in the nonprofit sector ever since—most recently as the Executive Director of The Watershed Project, the Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association and as Associate Director of the Neighborhood Parks Council, an advocacy group that addresses park and open space issues in the San Francisco.I have served on many boards and citizen advisory committees such as Fund for Peaceful Research; Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Committee; Citizens Advisory Committee to the PUC; the Integrated Pest Management Committee of the Department of the Environment and an Advisory Committee to then San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom on watershed issues.I live with my bloodhound, Nadine, in a very old house in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood in San Francisco where it is nearly impossible to park. I am a voracious reader and, thanks to my law degree, capable of reading even the most boring texts without falling asleep.Specialties: Fundraising, Developing new programs, human resources, finely honed financial and analytical skills.
