My greatest strength is my persistence in helping my students be successful, especially in reading. If you can’t read the rules, you can’t play the game of life. I am an education professional with a Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Leadership from the National University of San Diego, a Bachelor of Arts in Education K-8 from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and a Bachelor of Arts in Paychology from Portland State University, OR. I seek out connections with my students and their families. I use student data to plan instruction and assessments, and collaborate with my first grade team, the Special Education & English Language Learner Teachers, Para-Educators, and volunteers at my school in order to provide my students the best education for each of them. The very best part of teaching for me is when I see a student make a connection or learn a construct for the first time.
