Responsibility to increase tourism traffic to WA by influencing and building awareness and perception of Western Australian from SA, NT & ACT .of General Public, Travel Agencies, Wholesalers, Conference Organisers and Media. My responsibilities included territory management, strategic planning, strong commercial acumen, reporting, market trends, competitor analysis, team management and assisting my team to be the best they can be, marketing material development, data-base maintenance, excellent presentation skills, company-branding integrity, public relations and event management including community involvement.I developed a broad range of skills including: promoting & selling with enthusiasm, key account management, strong business acumen, sales pipeline management, networking, building strong and loyal client relationships, market analysis, development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans, excellent presentation skills, ability to achieve sales targets and promotional programs as part of an innovative sales strategic plan. Achievements:• Instigated and secured co-operative sponsorship for a major travel agent familiarisation program which enabled 100 SA & NT travel agency staff to experience the beauty of WA first hand, within my annual financial budget and subsequently increasing sales.• Secured a 49 page article in the International National Geographic written by SA’s Rodney Fox providing Western Australia with in excess of $1million in free publicity. • Developed new product specific to the SA and NT markets in alignment with WATC marketing strategy• Developed & delivered the inaugural Wildflower seminar series attended by over 250 general public resulting in 22% conversion to sale of touring product. Free TV, radio and newspaper publicity generated the attendance. This program was later adopted nationally.• Guest TAFE Lecturer for the Tourism and Hospitality Diploma course
