I am excited to add a partnership with encode.org as a place where I can contribute to the ongoing shifts in organizations and the relationships of people to their own work and interactions. encode.org is a Self-Organizing Enterprise providing agreements, software and services for the New World of Work. I currently fill the role of Guild Leader for the Honoring Differences Guild. Guilds are circles of common interest in developing skills in specific areas needed for the personal and interpersonal self-management. They are a way to help meet the needs of the people in the enterprise.

As a result, they increase their own sense of wellbeing and their capacity for more satisfying relationships.Facilitating individuals, teams, and organizations through the CORE process and certifying change agents in Human Agility Mapping so they can have more sustainable impact in their work.Linda Berens Institute was formerly known as Integral Typeworks. It represents the evolution of work I have been involved in for over 30 years. As Founder/Principal my role is to bring a transformational growth process using systems thinking and a very robust typology to the world to foster human and organization development. We do that through consulting with organizations, coaching of leaders and individuals using the Berens CORE Approach.

I have over 30 years of experience in the helping professions doing coaching and consulting. Since 1991, I conducted certifications in typology models including the MBTI® instrument. I am an author of multiple books and training aides based on using multiple models to help people find their best-fit type and put that knowledge to use in their work and personal lives. I love sharing what I've learned about individual differences and teaching others. I especially love working with teams and organizations to help them install this body of knowledge as a language that transforms the team and the organization. Co-founding and contributing to the Matrix Insights leadership and team development software, I have been able to expand on my extensive body-of-work to help individuals and teams apply personality models to enhance their effectiveness. In addition to ongoing content development and design, I help coaches, change agents, and organizations integrate the software into their leadership, team, and culture change initiatives. My role also includes developing coach readiness programs and other educational opportunities to contribute to individual and organizational success.

Currently hold roles of Theme Architect (for Personal Patterns), Service Delivery (for Personal Patterns), and Communication Crafter. Personal Patterns work facilitates increased self-awareness and enables conscious self-organization, effective communication and resolution of personal and interpersonal tensions. In my roles, I design, develop, and deliver workshops and coaching session as well as serve the communication needs of the organization.

After serving as President-Elect and President and active Past President of this membership organization, I am serving in a support and advisory role to the board working on standards and in Content Curation. Over the three years of my term I served in many ways. My roles were often as a catalyst for change and other times it was as historian. Most often it was to introduce some new ideas and provide context for decisions. It has been a great time working with really talented and knowledgeable leaders. I am very blessed to have been an APTi member since 1980 and benefited from all the many conferences and leadership roles available to me. I hope others find similar learning and satisfaction.

I have been a 'fan' of Holacracy since 2006 when I was consulting with Ternary Software and they were experimenting with different forms of organization and getting the work done. While Holacracy is about the organization, not the people, that does not mean that organizations can ignore the complexities of human beings coming together to accomplish work. There are still people filling their roles and HolacracyOne as an organization recognizes the need to have someone focusing on communication, relationships, and behavior change. I am delighted to have been invited in to the partnership to serve in helping facilitate communication and catalyze implementation. I am very grateful to have had the seven months of a formal relationship with HolacracyOne and to have contributed from inside the organization until other demands on my time and attention triggered my stepping down. I will continue my relationship with the organization as an information source and informal advisor, on call when needed. I am still a 'fan' of Holacracy and will continue working on the people side for organizations, but in a different capacity.

In 1987, I formed a very small boutique publishing company called Telos Publications, then in 1988, I formed a sole proprietorship called Temperament Research Institute (TRI) to provide training and consulting to organizations as well as training of trainers, consultants, coaches, and organizational development professionals. Unite Media Group was incorporated in 2001 to include Telos Publications and to launch 16types.com, an on-line product and assessment distribution company. In 2004, we folded Temperament Research Institute (TRI) into the corporation, later to rename it Interstrength® Associates. In February 2007, I resumed my organizational leadership role and became CEO of the parent corporation. As CEO, my role is to strategically guide the separate business units to reach their business potential, all towards the goal of helping individuals and organizations grow by understanding and maximize individual differences. I serve as president of each business unit as well.

Interstrength® Associates began its history as Temperament Research Institute in 1988. The organization has always been dedicated to taking personality type information to as many people and organizations as possible in a useful and productive way. Over the years we developed the Interstrength® Method, which uses integrated multiple models for helping individuals, teams, and organizations understand individual differences and the interface between those differences and the various contexts (teams, organizations, families, relationships, etc.)We offer the following services: • Organizational consulting to help whole organizations or departments introduce this information in a sustainable, growth producing way• Team and leadership development• Coaching• Certification in the Interstrength Method• Supporting tools and on-line productsWe have consistently been on the leading edge of psychological type and have created an innovative on-line Self-discovery tool for blended learning solutions for the Temperament and Berens Interaction Styles models. As president, I am charged with keeping the organization on the leading edge of the use of typology information inside living systems. I am also highly engaged in product development, certification of professionals, training of faculty and associates, and organizational consulting.

In 1987, with colleagues, Sue Cooper and Louise Giovannoni, I wrote a 16 page booklet, Introduction to Temperament. I formed Telos Publications to publish this booklet and other training materials. The goal of Telos Publications is to bring books and training materials to the public that increase their understandings of individual differences based on the sixteen personality types.As the body of knowledge about personality types has grown, so has our title list. We seek to publish only works that honor the holistic nature of individuals and organizations and present all types equally well. We now have 25 titles which include trade books, booklets used in training programs, as well as handouts and job aides. I currently oversee the production of our current titles, inquiries for translations and international distribution, and the development of future titles.
