I write a monthly column that explains some aspect of tech or social media to the thousands of midlife women and bloggers who visit the site.

Taught a semester-long Journalism seminar called Social Media: Practice and Theory. We covered as many social platforms as we can fit in, as well as visiting a social media team at a major newspaper and bringing in (via Google Hangout) a top person involved with a global NGO to talk about social media for social good and an expert on social media etiquette.

Taught an asynchronous course in the Master's Degree Program in Professional Writing

In June 2015, Liz Borod Wright and I, working with Sree Sreenivasan, CDO of NYC.gov, brought Social Media Weekend to CUNY. Nearly 200 people from around the world came to listen to panels comprised of top journalists and thought leaders in the fields of news, social media, social good and brand journalism. Our 2016 version was even bigger, and our October 2016 Social Media One Night Stand was broadcast over Facebook Live and had over 200 attendees.
