Dan Forman is a progressive content creator and programmer - exploring the digital and broadcast space to meet and engage viewers where they are. He is also an Emmy-award winning TV executive and journalist, having served as a top producer and manager at all three major network-owned stations in NYC: WABC, WNBC, WCBS.For 11 years, he was Managing Editor of the CBS2 News Department in New York. Dan was responsible for how the reporters, camera crews, assignment desk and video editors cover the local news. This includes generating stories, writing and quality control of the final product. Previously, Dan headed the News Departments at flagship network stations WNBC-TV and WABC-TV in New York, the only person ever to have managed the news at all 3 networks. Dan was also Station Manager at WNBC, involved in key strategies for promotion, engineering, programming and sales, as well as the development of local sports and entertainment shows. At WABC-TV, he led the station through the Peabody award-winning 9/11 Attack coverage. He created the first regular news helicopter coverage in New York, Chopper 4. He was also responsible for the content and format of the stations' websites and social media.Dan launched DNAinfo.com, an online local news website for Manhattan, together with Joe Ricketts, the founder of Ameritrade. Earlier, at WWOR-TV, Dan showed versatility in creating the station's first evening newscast, going abroad to produce a 10 part series on the Mideast conflict, produced major debates, a public service special featuring Billy Joel and even produced Howard Stern's first foray into television: The Howard Stern TV show.
