    In this role, I gained insights into how AI is built. I extracted prompts for review to ensure data was correct and factual. This is not as simple as it sounds. The detail involved was very specific to ensure the accuracy of how AI manages facts and AI is only as good as the humans managing and programming it. Intelligent but natural writing was needed and English grammar rules were required; “its” vs “it’s” was not a small thing to be ignored (my grammar school teachers would be proud). Any bugs found needed to be communicated to engineering and all prompts and responses were graded from pass, needs improvement, to fail. Quite often discussions of the accuracy of a prompt and response was discussed for over 30 minutes. This also reflects the complexity of human thought as it is not translated into binary as easily as might be thought,I can't say I have an in-depth knowledge of the intricacies of AI, but it was fun and when the computers take over I can say I had a hand in it.

Languages where we were lacking in resources were also a concern. To help with this, I introduced more concise price lists we would negotiate with vendors and clients. This would help streamline and maintain consistent profit margins on projects. I had worked with vendors from around the world, but recruitment took it to a new level. The vendors already in our pool I had comfortable worked with. As linguists, they were also sensitive to working with cultural differences and there were never any difficulties. I did do some research on approaching some of the linguists from different cultures.
